Teresa was born and raised in a small coastal town in Oregon. She grew up the youngest of 7 children with 5 brothers and one sister. Soon after graduating high school she enlisted in the Air Force where she spent time in Texas, Colorado, two years in Germany and two years in North Dakota. While in the Air Force, she received her degree in Office Management.
Teresa has been married to her husband, Keith, for 27 years. They have two great sons, Brandon and Tyler. Even though her oldest son Brandon is in optometry school in NYC and Tyler is a student at Michigan Tech, where he is studying Chemical Engineering, both she and her husband are still very involved with their boys.
Teresa joined the Beacon Square Northville family on November 1, 2016. Prior to joining the team at Beacon, she has worked in long term care for approximately 10 years. Teresa feels very fortunate to be surrounded by such dedicated and caring staff at Beacon Square Northville. She feels that a community is only as successful as the relationships that are built between the residents, families and the staff.
Morgan has been in the Senior Living Sales and Marketing Field since 2011 after receiving her Bachelors degree in Health Administration with a focus on Gerontology from Central Michigan University. Senior living is her true passion and she genuinely appreciates the opportunity to get to know each and every resident personally. Morgan would love to schedule a tour for your loved one and have the pleasure of improving their quality of life here at Beacon Square.
Morgan has been married to her Husband; whom she met at CMU, since 2014. Together, they have a young Daughter whom they adore. She spends a majority of her free time enjoying family time; she also plays a very active role in her Nieces and Nephew’s lives.
Brittney has a passion for geriatrics and has worked in this field since 2011. Brittney enjoys working with Beacon Square’s residents and is happy to be a part of the Pomeroy family.
Brittney and her identical twin sister are the eldest in a family of seven children. She was married in 2015 to her husband Zac; they both enjoy traveling and look forward to starting a family.
Harry is the oldest of 5 children, born and raised in Chicago, IL. He moved to the Detroit area after he graduated from high school. He played high school football, soccer, baseball and hockey. He has two children and four grandchildren.
Harry has years of experience in the culinary field, having his first job at Daly’s Drive-In in Chicago at the age of 15. He worked for Red Apple Restaurant Inc., for over 20 years, having nearly every job from dishwasher to chef to being part owner in the company. He has been in senior living for 12 years and believes he has found his passion; ensuring resident happiness through their appetite is his main goal.
Nancy is a born and raised Michigander having lived in the Southeast Michigan area her entire life. She’s had the pleasure of raising 4 beautiful daughters (as well as her husband Kevin of 34 years) while at the same time juggling a successful career in real estate prior to finding her true calling in senior care. Nancy is a genuinely caring professional. For more than 10 years now, Nancy has devoted her efforts to the area of Life Enrichment to our areas senior population. Before joining Beacon Square as Life Enrichment Director, Nancy honed her skills as a Life Enrichment Coordinator with a large memory care & assisted living community. A highlight of her tenure there Nancy earned the award as “Life Enrichment Coordinator of the Year”.
A true “people person”, Nancy truly loves working with seniors. Her daily goal is making sure our seniors are treated with dignity and respect while making sure that each day brings the opportunity for adventure whether that be a day trip to the lake, a concert, a play or simply an afternoon enjoying a good movie or hands on activities. Nancy and her staff make it a point to never forget the importance of one-on-one human interaction. She knows when that personal interaction truly comes from the heart, the compassion felt by the resident is palpable.
Nancy is proud to now be an integral part of the team at Beacon Square and looks forward to continuing to build on an already incredibly supportive and nurturing community.
Dr. Tobin was born and raised in the Metro Detroit. He completed his Bachelor of Science at Michigan State University and attended Medical School at the University of New England. He is certified in Family Practice Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine.
Dr. Tobin has been in practice for over 25 years and believes in a team approach to medical care, working with Heidi Good, who has a earned her doctorate as a nurse practitioner. Dr. Tobin and Dr. Good will see patients on scheduled days each week and those interested in having them provide care for their loved ones can reach out to the Beacon Northville staff for more information.
Dr. Tobin and Dr. Good are affiliated with some of the top hospitals in the area including: Beaumont Farmington Hills, Garden City, St. Mary’s and Oakwood. A member of Dr. Tobin’s team is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Dr. Sarafa graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English Literature. While working part time, and attending the University of Michigan Medical School full time, he won the prestigious Rotary Ambassador of Goodwill Scholarship which allowed him to attend the University of Edinburgh, Scotland UK, on a full scholarship, to pursue an advanced degree in Literature. He was the first medical student of the University of Michigan to complete another degree while matriculated.
He has since had successful practices in urban and suburban outpatient, inpatient, senior residences, independent living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities and psychiatric hospitals, as well as volunteer work with refugees and the underserved here and abroad.
Dr. Sarafa is kind, compassionate and enjoys spending time with his patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Dr. Sarafa enjoys reading and spending quality time with his wife and four young children.
